Dresdner
Spitzen receives Ökoprofit Certificate.
On Thursday, June 14 2007,
Dresdner Gardinen- und Spitzenmanufaktur received
the certificate as one of the first Ökoprofit
companies in Dresden.
The joint project was initiated
by the City of Dresden and the Dresden Chamber of
Industry and Commerce. Fifteen small and medium sized
companies worked for a period of 12 month to take
measures towards increasing energy and water efficiency.
Huge effects were achieved with little efforts. Besides
the decrease of CO2 emissions the cost of operations
were lowered.
Dresdner Spitzen developed
an environmental programme to reduce more than 1million
kWh of electric power and heat energy per year. For
the company it means on the one hand to lower the
electricity bill, on the other hand it is another
step towards environmentally friendly production of
lace and lace fabrics.
For the successful participation
of the Ökoprofit project Dresdner Spitzen joined
the Environmental Alliance Saxony. The certificates
were handed over by the Head of the Saxon Ministry
of Environment and Agriculture, Mr. Wolf-Eberhard
Kuhl in the name of the Minister of Environment and
Agriculture, Mr. Stanislaw Tillich.
With the membership of the Environmental Alliance
Dresdner Spitzen shows its special dedication to
the managerial protection of our environment.
